WA is changing fast. We have the opportunity to shape our future.

The decisions made in this election will shape the WA’s future for years to come.

  • Schools are being used to push radical ideologies.
  • WA allows abortion to birth, with no protection for children born alive after an attempted abortion.
  • Churches, faith-based schools, and faith institutions face growing pressure to compromise their beliefs.

Now is the time to act. Your vote is your voice.

Child Sex-Change Practices

The Western Australian Labor government say that ideology supersedes science and has legislated the rejection of biological gender with gender confused people now able to legally change their gender on offical birth certificates every 12 months. This includes provision for children to change their gender without parental consent.

Many insurance companies have stopped covering doctors and institutions participating in medical intervention sex-change practices and healthcare providers globally are facing lawsuits from damaged patients. Countries including Finland, Norway, Sweden, Italy, the UK and the US have rejected the“Dutch Protocol” (also known as the “Gender Affirmation Model”) and banned puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and surgical procedures for gender confused children due to the volume and severity of negative outcomes. Despite the global trend and overwhelming evidence, the Labor government is doubling down and increasing medical sex-change interventions for children and has began drafting legislation to criminalise speaking against it.

“There are currently more than 100 children and adolescents being treated at Perth Children’s Hospital, (for the purpose of gender transition) with either puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones, with the youngest aged 11.” Libby Mettam MLA

A significant concern is the universally recognised inability of a minor to have the cognitive ability to provide informed consent regarding significant future consequences. The consequences can be significant with side-effects such as infertility, as well as the deterioration of physical and mental health commonly reported, along with the more alarming high rate of people who “detransition” (return to identifying with their biological gender) and must live with irreversible mastectomies and/or genitalia mutilation.

A notable item of concern is; young people often have no desire to have a family of their own until later in life, and are often incapable of appreciating this consequence hence their inability to give “informed consent”.

Non-biological ideology is widely taught in Western Australian public schools and libraries to children of all ages, including pre-school ages, with teachers and staff members reporting punitive treatment and discrimination if they object to participating.

Australian Christians: Committed to banning the use of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormone treatments and surgical intervention for children for the purpose of sex-change intervention.

Committed to replacing ideological indoctrination in schools with foundational and core education.

Committed to leading a review into the medical sex-change intervention of children.

Commit to fund the expansion of access to publicly funded services that assist trans and gender-diverse children with their medical and/or clinical transition to ensure they are able to access sex-change services quicker.

Commit to allow minors to update their legal sex/gender identity on all existing documents even without parental consent.

Labor: Labor health minister declared international reviews such as the United Kingdom’s “Cass Review”, which triggered an immediate halt to medical sex-change intervention of children in the United Kingdom, irrelevant for Western Australia, ignoring its remarkable similarities to WA health protocol, practices and procedures.

WA Labor are currently developing legislation with totalitarian powers, emulating Victorian laws, which if enacted would increase medical sex-change intervention for children. The current Victorian laws, which WA Labor are copying, deem parents as unfit and abusive if they do not agree with and actively support the new gender and transition of their confused child. This “abuse” activates child protection services to intervene which can include the removal of your child from their home. These powers also make it a criminal offence for anyone, including clergy and psychological or medical practitioners to help someone seeking assistance to return to, or remain with their biological sex, even if that person asks for help.

Healthcare

The Western Australian health system has long been the gold standard for public health globally, sadly, in spite of a sustained economic boom, it is in significant decline. 7 of the 8 worst performing Emergency Departments in Australia are In WA and ambulances are forced to ramp for never before experienced lengths of time.

It is now a rarity for Medicare to cover the whole cost of a visit to a GP and front line staff retention is at all time lows, with hospital staff reporting unacceptable working conditions that include concerningly low staffing numbers that require staff to perform excessive overtime to maintain adequate staff levels for patient safety.

Australian Christians: Focus on core medical provision, ensuring adequate staff, infrastructure and resources for timely delivery of hospital services.

Euthanasia Laws

WA has legalised euthanasia in the last term of government. This has seen many elderly afraid to utilise hospital services due to fear of, in the words of one elderly gentleman, “being put down like a sick dog.” The Australian Christian Lobby have been directly told by eye witnesses of multiple incidents of violations of the supposed safeguards in the legislation.

Australian Christians: Defend and protect the sanctity and dignity of human life from conception to natural death.

Expand funding for palliative care services and hospices in metro and regional areas.

Greens: Support euthanasia

Labor: Support euthanasia.

Women-Only Sports and Spaces

In Western Australia, the Labor government have allowed men who think they are women to change their gender on their offical birth certificate to be legally recognised as a woman. They are therefore able to utilise women’s only spaces and participate in women’s only sporting competitions as a “woman”.

Australian Christians: Protect girls and women in sports by not allowing biological males to compete as women.

Protect women’s only spaces such as public restroom facilities, homelessness and domestic violence shelters and correctional facilities.

Greens: Commit to explicitly oppose women’s refuges who refuse biological men who think they are women from accessing women’s only protected spaces.

Allow biological men who think they are women to compete in competitive and community sport against women.

Label any resistance to men encroaching on women’s sport or safe places as “discrimination”.

Labor: Have allowed men who think they are women to be legally classified as women. Being a legally recognised ‘woman’ allows them to access and utilise all ‘women’s only’ facilities and activities. Organisations that refuse to allow this are open to become targets of litigation for discrimination.

Liberal: Protect girls and women in sports by not allowing biological males to compete as women.

Protect women’s only spaces such as public restroom facilities, homelessness and domestic violence shelters and correctional facilities.

Committed to repealing self-identifying sex on birth certificates.

Housing & Cost of Living

In an economic boom decade, Western Australia is facing an unprecedented housing crisis that is getting worse instead of better. This crisis has seen homelessness become an epidemic. People camping in tents in suburban bush and parks has become common and many families are already living in their cars and many more with no secure housing while sharing overcrowded dwellings with relatives.

This housing shortage has been caused by a number of factors, but there are some serious mismanagement factors that need to be recognised. The Labor Government has overindulged to the tune of $10 billion ($10,000,000,000) above the originally projected $3 billion Metronet. The incredible amount of manpower required for this pet project has significantly depleted the skilled labour force in metropolitan WA, by attracting bulk tradesmen with inflated wages. This extravagant spending with seemingly no expense being spared (tradesmen are reporting obscene additional costs), has also driven up the overall cost of building supplies, .

The domino effect of this blowout has seen an increase in the price of, and shortage of residential houses being built due to;

Shortage of tradesmen, causing building companies to need to increase wages to compete with Metronet

Shortage of and increased cost of supplies.  The increased cost of supplies is passed on to the consumer, and also impacts the ability of building companies to  control costs. The shortage of supplies limits the capacity of building companies to build houses, thus fueling the disparity in the supply and demand of new residential structures.

The reckless spending on Metronet has not only been a major factor of the decimation of available housing stock, Labor’s spending spree has also ratcheted up inflation and responsible for driving up a decent portion of the overall cost of living in Western Australia.

Australian Christians: Improve housing affordability by;

Removing stamp duty for eligible first home buyers and elderly downsizers.

Reduce red tape for business owners and implement a deadline system for government agencies regarding approvals, permits and applications.

Remove excessive employment laws, particularly in small to medium-sized businesses.

Introduce income splitting for families.

Abolish payroll tax.

Ensure state government projects and policy do not overwhelm the construction industry, such as Metronet and Covid Building Bonus.

Reduce government competition with private sector to drive down inflation.

Reduce car registration.

Shooters, Fishers & Farmers: Ease house and land transfers, which increases access to credit.

Abolition of state land tax, payroll tax and stamp duty; replaced with a fairer broad based tax regime to stimulate the economy and make it easier to buy and sell realestate.

Understanding Your Vote
