3. Same-Sex Adoption
Research shows that children do best when raised by their mother and a father but WA law allows same-sex couples to adopt a child, and for a woman in a lesbian relationship to become pregnant through IVF. 4. Marriage
Marriage is defined in the Marriage Act as the union of a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life. At least one attempt has been made to undermine marriage by seeking to allow homosexual couples to take part in a ‘wedding’ ceremony. Would your Party uphold marriage as defined in the Marriage Act by rejecting any attempt to mimic marriage? |

5. Retail Trading Hours
The results of the 2005 Retail Trading Hours Referendum showed that a majority of West Australians were against extending weeknight shopping to 9pm and extending Sunday shopping to 6 hours. ACL is concerned that such moves would further erode family time and worsen relational poverty. Does your party support Sunday trading in WA? |
